[accordion_label] What do you do during a typical appointment?[/accordion_label][accordion_content] I get you to fill out a brief questionnaire; the answers will give me a look at your excesses, deficiencies, and sensitivities. Think of it as the good, the bad and the ugly. Except hopefully not that ugly! At my office we will then do three separate blood tests which help me to determine past, present and some potential future conditions. The microscope images are displayed on a TV screen for both of us to look at and discuss. The answers, blood tests and any number of discussions we may engage in, will help me chart a straight forward list of recommendations (like an action plan) that you will take with you.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label] How many times do I need to see you?[/accordion_label][accordion_content]I believe in only enough visits to get the job done. Most clients immediately book a follow-up appointment for 6 to 8 weeks later for a progress check-up. This is then followed by yearly check-ups. I do have numerous people coming to see me on a regular basis (some from various locations through out North America) as I am able to see substantially more under the microscope than most individuals could digest in one session. Also, my action plan calls for the main issues to be addressed, not necessarily all.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label] Can you see Cancer before it starts?[/accordion_label][accordion_content]No. However one of the three blood tests does look at bacteria and its terrain (environment) which can give us an educated perspective on the probability of being more or less susceptible to those dangers. Simple dietary changes and some lifestyle adjustments can quickly set you on the road to a clean bill of health.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label] How much does it cost?[/accordion_label][accordion_content]The first appointment which can last between 1.5 and 2 hours is $160.00 (plus GST). Any subsequent visits will take approximately one hour and is billed at $80.00 (plus GST). I accept cash, cheques, Interac, Master Card and Visa.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label] Does OHIP cover some or all of the cost?[/accordion_label][accordion_content]Unfortunately not. Some progressive health plans do offer coverage under either Registered Nutrition Consultant, Registered Nutritionist or other alternative health services (usually up to a max. of $500/yr).[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label] What are the ages of your typical clients?[/accordion_label][accordion_content]All over the map. There is no time like now to improve your health. I frequently see whole families, and even more often, couples. If two or more people are present for the appointment together, some of the common explanations need only be discussed once. We can usually cover all bases for two people in three hours.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label] Do you only work in your office?[/accordion_label][accordion_content]No. I do corporate days frequently and I have traveled to many parts of Ontario. However in order to facilitate travel, I would need enough clients in a one or two day span to close my office and pack my baby (also known as microscope plus equipment) into its large travel case.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label] Do you have a personal health Pet Peeve?[/accordion_label][accordion_content]Absolutely! In one generation we have gone from following the five traditional food groups to the New five modern food groups: Fast, Fried, Frozen, Processed and Nuked. These foods generally lack vitamins, minerals, enzymes, water, fibre, and are devoid of life force.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label] I eat well, so should I not be healthy?[/accordion_label][accordion_content]Probably yes. However see question above. Our fast paced life, eating on the go, getting food at a pick-up window, life style pressures, environmental stresses, over farming, soil depletion, over 600,000 known chemicals in the environment, and numerous other factors all go into defining our new food paradigm. Nobody knows what it all means, and it may be another generation until some of the affects are visible. Educating yourself is not a bad starting point. For example, spend enough time on the Web looking at microwave ovens and you may not eat another nuked food in your life. You be the judge.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label]I I have persistent weight issues, can you help?[/accordion_label][accordion_content]I am asked all the time why I cannot lose the last 15 pounds and/or why I cannot lose weight. It is actually quite simple. Certain foods just do not work well in certain bodies. I help people understand this by employing several techniques. Your specific blood type, body type, and metabolic type along with lifestyle, stress level, emotional and hormonal factors all go into determining how food moves through and deposits in the body. Our cravings for certain foods, is directly related to our bodies not being in balance. For example people might crave breads and/or sweets. If we are not getting enough fat and protein the cravings will dictate your life. This is only one example of a hundred or so imbalances. Foods eaten all the time can also create imbalance (eg. a bagel with cream cheese every day is not a good idea and specifically a serious no-no for one blood type). My job is to help you understand this and then eliminate these cravings so that you can move towards your desired goals. By overlaying several tests we can usually get you on the right course. Hence why we need two hours for the first appointment.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label] What is a common area of concern?[/accordion_label][accordion_content]Our children. The pop and chips generation is in the news all the time. Diseases that were reserved for older generations will set on our youngest at increasingly disturbing rates unless we make some fundamental changes in our eating behavior. For that reason I price my first session with kids (16 years and younger) at $90.00 (plus GST) to encourage them getting started on self education. My advice will likely be judged differently than that of mom or dad.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label]If I follow your advice will my health improve?[/accordion_label][accordion_content]In almost all cases the answer is an unequivocally YES. However, everyone is different. My passion is discovering the underlying cause of a health issue. With some clients we just need to dig deeper. This is where I get to employ other modalities: Ayurvedic Principles, Psychology of Disease, Spiritual Psychology and/or some very refined testing.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label ]How do I make an appointment? [/accordion_label][accordion_content]You can email me at jane@livebloodcell.ca, and leave a phone numbers where I can reach you. Alternatively, you can reach me on my office line at 416-690-0227, you can leave a voicemail if I am in a session. I will likely return voice mail during business hours that day, and definitely next. Email also 24 hour maximum turnaround.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label ]Can you help with pregnancy issues? [/accordion_label][accordion_content ]Yes, couples frequently ask that question. I have had great success with many mid 30 to early 40 year olds in improving the odds of getting pregnant and having mother and baby at peak health. The same problems that affect our overall health: diet (specifically 5 new food groups), radiation, chemicals and stress affect both the male and female to be able to conceive a child. Testing, cleansing (detoxing) and some reasonable lifestyle changes have made many of my clients feel happier. It brings me immeasurable professional satisfaction to hear the words, Guess what.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label ]I have tried everything, are my emotions a factor?[/accordion_label][accordion_content ]Absolutely. When we become unbalanced, all our energy areas can suffer and not just the physical but also the emotional, mental and causal. For those with greater or more persistent issues, and for those that subscribe to mind/body healing, I will test their energy points using the REBA machine (developed in Germany). Discovered imbalances are then treated (generally for one time only) using homeopathic remedies. When the obstructed energy points are cleared the body has a better chance of returning to its normal vitality.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label ]How long have you been working in the field? [/accordion_label][accordion_content ]In 1980 I got my first job with Dominion Stores Ltd. I was fresh out of University with a degree in Nutrition and I helped Dominion Stores launch their first ever Health Food store called Nature’s Cupboard. It was a huge success. Even before it opened I was shopping and eating from health food stores when people didn’t even know they existed. So for the past thirty years I have been in the business.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label ]You do so many things, what is your favorite? [/accordion_label][accordion_content]My absolute favorite is the Psychology of Disease. Why people get sick. There is nothing more satisfying for me to help people understand their own health issues. Once we find out together where it all came from, people feel so relieved and I feel so happy that I may be a part of their healing journey. My wish for all my clients is for them to regain their self worth, love for themselves, love for others and a new profound purpose in life.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label ]What are the things that you do to maintain health? [/accordion_label][accordion_content] See my “Personal Twenty Tips for a Happy, Healthy and Perfect life”[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label ]What would you say is the main reason people come to you? [/accordion_label][accordion_content] People come to me often as they have exhausted other avenues to find their answers. Most people come for fatigue, depression, weight issues, emotional imbalances, stress, digestive disorders or simply they come to do the life blood cell analysis so that they may take preventative measures for their health. ”[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label ]Do you do seminars? [/accordion_label][accordion_content]Yes. I LOVE doing them. Nothing makes me happier to go into an office or organization and do a presentation. People are so hungry for information and they hear so much misinformation. I try to simplify it in laymen’s terms and I also present in a fun, interactive way so that they can remember the information.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label ]What do you do your seminars on? [/accordion_label][accordion_content]Everything from, The Psychology of Disease to mental health, self esteem, food, nutrition trends, diabetes and stress in the workplace.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label ]Would you recommend a detox? [/accordion_label][accordion_content]Yes, but not right away. Think of your body like a house. You can’t call the cleaning lady to come in this morning as you need to tidy up first, otherwise she would make a mess and would not know where to put stuff. What I like to do, is clean up your body, remove some offending foods, clean out the bowel and once done then we can proceed into bowel detoxification which is the number one place we need to start.[/accordion_content]
[accordion_label ]If you could quickly get a person on the road to a healthier life, what would you tell them? [/accordion_label][accordion_content]I would say, stay away from the five new food groups (frozen, fast, fried, junk and processed food). I would also tell them to avoid food that has to pass a chemistry lab on the way to your mouth, stay away from foods in bags, boxes, pick up windows or has a bar code. Finally, the 80-20 rule. What matters most in life is what you do 80% of the time…you have to have some fun in life!! [/accordion_content]
